Ifikile

Terms of use

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Important terms

Please read these four points before you subscribe. They affect your rights.

  1. Ifikile records and seals proof of a job. It does not decide disputes. A matching fingerprint shows that a record has not changed since it was sealed on the driver's phone. It does not show who held the phone, and the times come from the phone's own clock.
  2. The Operation plan is a monthly subscription. Paystack charges your card every month until you cancel. The plan starts as soon as your first payment is confirmed, and you agree to that when you pay. Because of this, the 7-day cooling-off period in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 does not apply (section 42(2)(d) of that Act). See section 5 for cancelling and refunds.
  3. Your jobs, photos, signatures and records are stored on your own devices. Heferon does not hold them. If a device is lost or its browser data is cleared, Heferon cannot recover what was on it. Export and keep your records.
  4. Heferon's liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the Operation plan in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim (section 9). This limit does not apply to loss caused by Heferon's gross negligence, or where the law does not allow a limit.

1. Who we are

Ifikile is made by Heferon (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission under registration number 2026/337285/07.

  • Physical address: 30 Ranksuikerbos Street, Protea Valley, Cape Town
  • Address for legal service of documents: 30 Ranksuikerbos Street, Protea Valley, Cape Town
  • Telephone: 077 356 1532
  • WhatsApp: 076 173 8702
  • Email: hello@heferon.com
  • Directors: Eugene Hefer, Miquel Du Plooy

Website: https://ifikile.heferon.com and https://www.heferon.com. Heferon is not registered for VAT. No VAT is charged.

In these terms “Heferon”, “we” and “us” mean Heferon (Pty) Ltd. “You” means the business or person using Ifikile, and “your operation” means the office and drivers who use it for you.

2. What Ifikile does

Ifikile is a web app for field jobs and proof of delivery. The office makes a job link and sends it to a driver. The driver completes a checklist, takes photos, gets a signature, can add the phone's location, and seals the job. Sealing stamps the phone's time and calculates a SHA-256 fingerprint over the record. The office checks a record against that fingerprint, keeps it on the office board and can export it as a CSV file.

Ifikile has no server that holds your jobs. Job links carry the job inside the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to a web server. Records travel only when someone in your operation chooses to send them.

3. The free plan and the Operation plan

Free plan. Using Ifikile costs nothing for up to 50 completed jobs a calendar month, counted on the office device. A completed job is a job sealed on that device or a driver's record verified and saved to its board. At the limit, verifying records and closing jobs on drivers' phones keep working; saving more records to the board waits for the next month or the Operation plan. While Ifikile is in beta and the Operation plan is not on sale, there is no limit.

Operation plan. One subscription per operation, for any number of drivers and jobs. It removes the monthly limit and adds bulk dispatch from a spreadsheet, CSV export, and your company's name and logo on job links, the driver's screen and delivery reports.

4. Price and payment

The Operation plan costs the monthly price shown on the plans page before you pay (South African rand; no VAT is charged), charged when you subscribe and then once a month on the same date until you cancel. The price is shown before you are asked for any payment detail.

Payment is made on Paystack's own secure payment page. Your card details go to Paystack and never reach Heferon. Paystack emails a receipt for every charge. If Heferon changes the price, it tells you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you may cancel before then. Heferon resends any receipt on request. You can print or save these terms from your browser.

5. Cancelling and refunds

Cancelling. Cancel at any time by emailing hello@heferon.com, sending a WhatsApp to 076 173 8702, or in any other written way, with your company name. Heferon stops the subscription in Paystack within one business day and confirms by email. No further charge is made after that, and the plan stays on until the end of the month you already paid for.

Cooling-off. The plan is a service that starts as soon as your payment is confirmed, and you ask for it to start straight away when you subscribe. Under section 42(2)(d) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, the 7-day cooling-off period in section 44 of that Act does not apply to a service that began with the consumer's consent before the end of the seven days.

When Heferon refunds. Email hello@heferon.com with your company name and the last characters of the payment reference. Heferon refunds the charge to the card you paid with if:

  • you paid but the plan did not unlock, and Heferon cannot fix that within 5 business days;
  • you were charged after Heferon confirmed your cancellation, or charged twice for the same month; or
  • the law gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, including the right in section 43(3) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Refunds are paid through Paystack within 30 days of Heferon agreeing the refund.

Your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

6. The plan on your devices

After payment, Ifikile keeps a short signed code on the office device that unlocks the plan. It works with no connection. When the device is online, Ifikile renews the code quietly while the subscription runs. If a payment fails or the subscription ends, the device goes back to the free plan when the code runs out. Nothing is deleted when that happens.

You may add the plan to other office devices in your own operation from Settings. The plan is for one operation; sharing it with another business is not allowed.

7. Your part

  • The details in each job, and how your drivers use Ifikile, are your responsibility.
  • The records hold personal information about your customers and drivers: names, signatures, photos and, when added, a location. Your business decides why it collects them and is responsible for them under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, including telling your customers and drivers what you collect, keeping it safe and deleting it when it is no longer needed.
  • Keep your devices secure, and export records you need to keep. Heferon cannot see, correct or recover them.

8. What a record shows

A record confirmed on the Verify screen shows that its details, photos and signature are the ones sealed on the phone that did the job, matched to the fingerprint the driver sent. Times are the phone's device time and anyone holding a phone can change its clock. Location, when added, is the phone's own reading rounded to about 11 metres. Whether a record is enough proof in a particular dispute is for the people or the forum deciding it.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Heferon's total liability to you for anything to do with Ifikile is limited to the fees you paid for the Operation plan in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. On the free plan, Heferon does not accept liability for loss arising from its use, to the extent the law allows. These limits do not apply to loss caused by the gross negligence of Heferon or of anyone acting for Heferon, and they do not reduce any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be limited.

10. Availability and changes to Ifikile

Heferon may improve or change Ifikile. If Heferon stops offering the Operation plan, it gives at least 30 days' notice by email and refunds any month paid for and not yet used. Records already on your devices stay there and keep verifying.

11. Privacy

How Ifikile handles personal information is set out in the privacy notice.

12. Changes to these terms

Heferon may update these terms. The version that applies to your subscription is the one shown when you subscribed until Heferon emails you a new version at least 30 days before it applies. You may cancel before the new version applies. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.
